This week was my final week of my current career. I’ve been working with my employer for over 27 years. I remember early on when I was working as a data entry clerk, I checked at my HR record and it told me that I could retire on November 12, 2021. That seemed so far away and I couldn’t imagine reaching that goal. Now to my surprise it’s only 18 days away. There are a lot of different emotions that have been going on in my head for the last few weeks. I have had the most amazing career and I’ve loved my job for the most part I am at some of the best management ever and I got to work on some really cool things. However, that chapter is coming to a close. The good news is a new chapter is about to begin.
I am so excited about the future and the new experiences that I will have. It won’t be perfect. But, I know I can make the best of it.
Don’t dread what’s coming. Embrace the journey ahead!
